Biography
Meet Mr. Tommy Jewell, an experienced math teacher and tutor who loves helping middle and high school students improve in the classroom and on standardized tests. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame (B.S. Applied Mathematics, Statistics).
In college, Mr. Jewell ran a tutoring center for elementary and middle school students. Upon graduation, he took a job as a quantitative financial analyst at Bank of America while continuing his passion for education as a part-time tutor and GED instructor. He is currently in his sixth year as a full-time math teacher.
Mr. Jewell is passionate about working with developing or advanced math students in an individual setting and helping to achieve mastery in preparation for an assessment or standardized test. He understands the importance of a strong foundation in math and believes in repetition and consistency for improving students’ skills.
